The first Canadian Re² EnergyBlock is currently being installed in the region of Kwadacha - a small town with 300 inhabitants. The EnergyBlock is a perfect off-grid solution and consists of three Biomass CHPs fuelled by wood chips sourced from the region's own forest.

The EnergyBlock will soon supply households, the local school as well as a community and guest house with electricity and heat. The electricity is fed directly into the national grid of islands, so they can significantly reduce their reliance on costly diesel generators.
