Spanner Re²'s Belarus partner - IEC Energy Company - is now actively promoting wood cogeneration plants on the market. On March 12th was held a seminar exclusively dedicated on Spanner Re² and over 60 attendees were present during the daily event to learn more about wood cogeneration.

Ten at one stroke - Wood gasification CHP plant pays off
A few years ago the first wood gasifier by Spanner Re² was put into operation in Jaunjelgava, Latvia, in the Baltic states. Ten independent units generate 450 kW of electrical power and 1.08 MW of thermal power. Meanwhile there are already six Spanner wood gas cascades of different sizes in operation in Latvia. The seventh is currently being installed. The system works and pays off.

The Austrian magazine for the hotel sector, catering and large-scale catering sector "HGV Praxis" on the ****S Hotel Leitlhof in Innkirchen (South Tyrol). This spa hotel, which is located at 1,100 metres above sea level, was marked by the climate partner as a best-practice hotel regarding climate neutrality.
In 2013, the Mühlmann family added 18 rooms to their hotel so that they now have 55. Furthermore, the hotel has dedicated over 2000 m² to its spa area, with several saunas and a 100 m² outdoor pool that is also heated to 31°C in winter.
At the same time they were able to reduce carbon emissions from 396 t in 2012 to 262 t in 2013. - A peak result that has been achieved by no other hotel in this category in South Tyrol.
The key to this success lies in the use of state-of-the-art energy technology. The Mühlmann family runs two wood gas-powered combined heat and power units built by the German plant manufacturer Spanner Re². The system has the means for a total of 230 kW thermal output and 90 kW electrical output. Last year each unit ran for 7150 hours.

Certification, Spanner Re² GmbH has fulfilled all the requirements of the quality management norm DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. In the appraisal, the business areas of development, manufacture and sales of wood-powered plants consisting of wood gas-powered engines and combined heat and power plants, and also of heating systems and peripheries successfully met the strict profile of requirements in all categories.

IEC - Energy Company has already over 450 MW live projects in Belarus based on several technologies such as hybrid biogas gasification, photovoltaic solar PV and biomass gasification. Thanks to their experience and substantial market knowledge.
