In the case of direct wood gas use, the gas produced by the Spanner Re² wood-powered system can be extracted directly after the gas filter and then be conducted immediately into the gas-fired furnace. The wood gas is combusted in the boiler by means of the active air supply, and then passes through the heat exchanger. A thermal output of around 150 kW is thus released to the water in the heater circuit.

Exhaust gas measurement

The results of an exhaust gas measurement were very gratifying: The wood gas combustion in the boiler is very ecologically compatible. There was practically no particulate matter to be found, and the carbon monoxide (CO) values showed a very low average of 10 mg/m³. As no wood chip heating system that is currently available on the market achieves these values, we therefore produce wood chip heating with the lowest emissions via the gas-fired furnace.

Application

In future, this gas boiler could be used to ensure the production of heat during CHP maintenance or downtime, or to meet the heating peak loads on existing wood-powered systems.
