According to the Renewables 2020 report by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the share of renewable energy in Japan in 2020 was 21.7 percent of total electricity generation. This means that the country is well on the way to further expanding its energy requirements this year in line with the current trend towards renewable energy.



The company Spanner Re² is therefore very pleased to be able to send an EnergyBlock equipped with an HKA49 wood-power plant to Japan this week. The plant is to be installed at our customer Ibaraki Plant, Komatsu Ltd. contribute to the generation of CO2-neutral energy. The largely automated system is equipped, among other things, with a moving floor dryer from the Spanner Re², which will supply the wood gasifier with ideally dried wood chips via an intermediate bunker.
